Hi everyone, I hope you’ve been having a great summer! It’s been very busy over here, with new projects and recordings on the horizon!!
The recording we made a year ago during a tour in Buenos Aires is almost done being mastered and we are looking at an early 2018 release date. The record is called Dr. Quixotic’s Traveling Exotics and features Luis Perdomo, Yasushi Nakamura, Rudy Royston and Tim Hagans. I’m really looking forward to letting you hear this!! Just finalized is the artwork by Colin Batty, and it’s absolutely insane. The group, minus Tim, is doing a short tour in Europe starting at the end of September.
I just recorded a new solo record on the F mezzo soprano saxophone, and that record will come out early next year as well and is tentatively titled Dark Horizon.
I’m also proud to say that I have been awarded a composer’s grant from the National Sawdust composers’ series; we will be debuting a new work in July 2018.
If you’re in the area for any of these shows, please stop by and say hello! Thanks for your continuing support.
