Residency at the Stone; March and April Shows

Hello everyone!  I hope you are enjoying the warm(ing) weather.  It’s been a great couple of months for music for me, and the beginning of 2017 saw my participation in a couple of great recordings by Matt Mitchell and Perry Smith, a compositional retreat to Sea Ranch, California, and stints with Darcy James Argue and Dave Douglas.   I also found a mint condition F mezzo saxophone that I plan on adding to the repertoire!

I’m excited to be kicking off March with a week-long residency at the Stone, one of my favorite venues in New York City.  I couldn’t be happier with the line-ups and the music for each of the nights.  Please stop by as often as you can and let your friends know about it!  There will be tons of new music debuted that week, including a new book of music for organ trio that is influenced by Jimmy Smith, Larry Young and Sun Ra, a brand new string quartet featuring the Sirius Quartet alongside Matt Mitchell on piano and a meeting of the Jon Irabagon Trio (featuring Barry Altschul and Mark Helias) with trombonist Ray Anderson!

As always, thank you for your continued support.  If you would like to follow my music online, please go to and “like” that page so we can stay in touch.

Thank you!
